Co-Player of the Week

Jenna Johnson  Alabama
Gr. • OF Franklin, Tenn.

Alabama’s Jenna Johnson, a graduate student outfielder from Franklin, Tenn., batted .615 with team highs of eight hits and nine runs scored along with six RBI. Johnson reached base safely and scored at least one run in all five games in which she made a plate appearance. She recorded a career-high four hits vs. North Alabama on Saturday and a career-best three runs scored in the weekend finale at UAB.

Co-Player of the Week

Ali Newland  LSU
Sr. • OF Bremen, Ga.

LSU’s Ali Newland, a senior outfielder from Bremen, Ga., paced the Tigers with 10 hits, including four extra-base hits, in a 5-0 weekend at the 2024 Tiger Classic. Newland tallied eight RBIs, two home runs, a .556 batting average, a 1.000 slugging percentage, a .556 on-base percentage and logged five putouts on five chances. She registered a season-high three hits against Houston Friday, including her second home run of the season.

Pitcher of the Week

Emiley Kennedy  Texas A&M
Jr. • P The Woodlands, Texas

Texas A&M’s Emiley Kennedy, a junior left-hander from The Woodlands, Texas, tallied three complete-game wins, including two shutouts, during the Texas A&M Invitational. In 18.0 innings of work, Kennedy struck out 21 batters and yielded one unearned run. In her final game of the week against UTSA, she recorded a career-high 16 batters in the extra-innings victory.

Freshman of the Week

Ava Brown  Florida
Fr. • P/1B Montgomery, Texas

Florida’s Ava Brown, a right-handed pitcher/first baseman from Montgomery, Texas, batted .429 with six hits, four runs scored and seven RBI over the Gators‘ eight games this past week. In the circle, Brown secured two more wins to improve to 6-0 on the season. She did not allow a run through 11 total innings pitched and fanned seven batters.
